and by adhering to DPS quality assurance and quality control procedures.
Our typesetters and proofreaders have been honing their skills for an average of 17 years, and DPS Composition Supervisors have an
average of 22 years' experience in the field. They have an in-depth understanding of their trade and our clients' style and branding
requirements.
Our Quality Assurance measures and our Quality Control steps, are all designed to create conformance, yet encourage innovation.
Highlights of DPS Quality Assurance:
- DPS employs a designated Quality Assurance Manager, who is responsible for establishing, documenting, evaluating and improving
the company procedures and processes that promote continuity of product and the fulfillment of client requirements.
- DPS's Quality Management System (QMS) is ISO 9001:2008 certified. Our Quality Management System promotes continuous improvement
and client satisfaction.
- To ensure continued ISO compliance, Research and Development, IT, Composition, Sales, Billing, Client Services and Management
are audited annually by a third-party, accredited, certifying body.
- Accuracy is evaluated on a weekly basis, and errors are researched in real-time to prevent any recurrence.
DPS Quality Control Highlights:
- Quality control begins in Client Services, where our internal production site (DPSiDox) is maintained. All communication
and information received from our clients' is recorded electronically and is accessible company-wide. Access to the DPSiDox
production site can be extended to the client, optimizing communication and accurate information.
- In our production environment, proprietary software and sophisticated coding enable typesetters to convert documents from a
variety of source file types with minimal manual intervention. The typesetters supply proofreaders with blacklined proofs and a
Checksum Report for each typeset proof. A checksum is a unique algorithm that sums up the total content of a typeset page.
DPS has perfected a method of recording and reading these "checksums". This program, created by DPS, generates a report denoting
each page where a change has occurred. Unintentional changes are flagged for the proofreaders.
- Proofreaders apply their skill when reviewing for content and style, and have the added benefits of blacklined proofs, Checksums,
and up-to-date Style Masters.
- DPS offers a true Single Source environment for typeset and EDGAR documents. Our proprietary software allows for the
simultaneous updating of typeset and EDGAR HTML documents that ensures integrity and results in significant cost savings for
our clients'.
- Style Masters are meticulously maintained, and are accessible for all production personnel via the company intranet.
- With typesetters and proofreaders in Boston, California and New York, good communication is key. All communications are
recorded, maintained and accessible to all personnel electronically.
